AMD recently launched its first 65nm processors and now the first models have started to appear on the market. Or, to be more precise they’ve been shipped out to system builders. According to The Inquirer, AMD has been shipping 65nm processors for two weeks and several OEMs have started to implement the new models. Things are looking worse for the retailers though as we should not be able to expect any 65nm processors in stores before the end of the year. The OEM manufacturers have simply been granted the first shipments and if you want to get a hold of a 65nm Athlon processor you have to turn to one of the big system builders, at least up until new year has arrived.
