Dell has shown interest in Linux at a few occasions earlier on, but has after beíng pressured from various directions, among others Microsoft, changed its mind, more than once. The Register now reports that Dell has launched Linux-based systems in China, an area Microsoft perhaps doesn’t have the same grasp on, or interest in. Dell recently launched the laptop Inspiron 1501-n for ¥5,199 ($670)and ¥5,599 ($720)and the desktop computer Dimension C521-n for ¥3,299 ($420) and ¥3,999 ($510). Based on an AMD platform, Dell has really put on the Che Guevara t-shirt and started waving the big rebel flag high. We’ll just have to wait and see if they dare to do so outside China as well.
