As we reported earlier, Intel made some massive price cuts with its x86 processors ranging over the entire assortment. We reported about the new Core 2 Duo prices, but have now been reached by completing information. Intel has lowered the prices of its Xeon 3000 processors with up to 40%, about the same as many of the Core 2 Duo processors. Even Intel’s new Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor has become significantly cheaper, moving from 851 USD to 530 USD, a 38% cut.
Intel’s price cuts were expected and several of the new models have become a lot more accessible before the launches that are coming soon. At DigiTimes they’ve compiled a table of Intel’s new price cuts where we notice some very interesting updates.
