Intel is apparently planning a price cut on April 20. It’s the older 65nm parts that will become cheaper, and in some cases by quite a lot. Core 2 Quad Q6700 is cut by almost 50%, from $527 to $270. Q6600, E4600, E2200 and E2180 will all become slightly cheaper, while the Celeron 440 and 430 models will reach new lows, $45 and $35 respectively. Along with the price cuts, Intel will also introduce a new Core 2 Duo E8x00 model, the E8300. It operates at 2.83GHz and will cost $169.
