Yesterday we reported about B3 Opterons out in the wild, and that B3 Phenoms should be on schedule. Well, AMD has announced that the first Tri-core Phenoms are shipping, and as expected, they went to PC builders. Dell and HP have announced that tri-core systems will be shipping in the second quarter, but several smaller PC builder have also updated their line-up with tri-core options. At the same time, price cuts are expected all around in early April. This most of all applies to the older B2 models and the other lower-range dual-core models which will soon be replaced.
