It’s been a while since Intel’s family of Celerons was at the peak of its career, and with architectures like the old Mendocino core (Celeron 300A and several other popular models) the Celeron series will always have a special place in our hearts. Today Intel Celeron is mainly active on the mobile market and here Intel has taken a small step for the processor market, but a big step for Celeron Mobile. Intel has released the first two dual-core Celeron processors for the mobile market.

The first two Celeron M models are called T1600 and T1700. They operate at 1.83GHz and 1.66GHz respectively with a bus at 667MHz and 1MB L2 cache. The processors are made with 65nm technology and are the only dual-core Celeron M processors listed at Intel’s processor price list (PDF). Using Intel’s Processor Spec Finder we also found Celeron M 723 which looks like an ULV model consuming only 10W with its 45nm technology. The processor sports 2 cores operating at 1.2GHz with an 800MHz bus.
