Intel released a presentation last week that showed how its microprocessors are made, going all the way from sand to silicon and working circuits. As it turns out Intel wasn’t the first to do this, since AMD, though its manufacturing plant, published a video presentation back in June, which was called “From sand to chip” and with both animations and actual pictures from inside Globalfoundries’ fabs.

Globalfoundries is the company that handles om AMD’s processor manufacturing and in the 10 minute long video we get to follow the journey of the circuit, from the beach to shelves, with a pleasant soundtrack and storyteller that informs the viewer what’s going on in the pictures and animations.

A very interesting video that has probably inspired Intel into making its own presentation, which we told you about a while back. Below you will find Globalfoundries’ video and more information on the circuit manufacturer is at the website.
