Microsoft has decided to reward a share of the beta testers that has helped during the development of the operating system Windows 7. Recently, Microsoft said that it had no intentions of sending out free copies of Windows 7 to beta testers, but after massive criticism it changed its mind. At the official Windows 7 blog it gas revealed that all invited beta testers will get a free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.
It will not be sending out a free copy to all beta testers, but still a step in the right direction.
To show our appreciation, members of the invitation-only Windows 7 Technical Beta Program will be eligible for a free, final copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. For more information on how to take advantage of this, refer to Paul’s post in the .Beta_Program newsgroup for details.
Remaining beta testers will, as usual, have to head to the stores on October 22nd to get a genuine copy of Windows 7.
