Apple has lured PC users over to its Mac computers and OS X operating systems for years. The company has been one step ahead with its GUI and with a locked down hardware platform it can ensure reliability and stability. Windows 7 with its graphical vanity is considered the most OS X-like operating system yet. The end result is the most important and Microsoft has managed to build a complete product, but that hasn’t scared Apple from offering Windows 7 support with its own Mac platform.
Apple revealed this in a support document about the Boot Camp software and its Windows 7 support:
Apple will support Microsoft Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate) with Boot Camp in Mac OS X Snow Leopard before the end of the year. This support will require a software update to Boot Camp.
The only thing needed besides the Boot Camp update is a copy of Windows 7 and an Intel-based Mac, though some models form 2006 are supposedly not compatible.
