Intel will soon unveil the second generation of processors and chipsets for the LGA1156 platform. The Intel H57 chipset, code-named Eagle Lake, is one of these circuits. Pictures and specifications of one board, from ASUS, have surfaced. ASUS P7H57D-V EVO ships with a lot of pleasant features like 11-phase power supply for the processor, and 2 separate phases for the four DDR3 memory slots.
Two PCIe X16 slots for graphics are available, but those choosing Intel’s coming Clarkdale processors with integrated graphics can use the integrated video outputs, VGA, DVI and HDMI. The motherboard support SATA 6Gb/s and USB 3.0, but also other interfaces like Firewire, e-SATA. You can also add 8 channel audio to the list of specifications.
