NVIDIA has with GeForce GTX 690 announced a new initiative – GeForce Experience, which is a cloud-based serivce that automatically optimizes your graphics settings in games relative to the hardware found in your computer.

While it is a pleasure for many enthusiasts to alter and tune settings, this is something most users try to avoid. It is a mush when you are about to play a new game and NVIDIA’s new GeForce Experience is intended to ease this, but automatically adjusting your graphics settings the first time you start a new game.

NVIDIA have been saving millions of different system configurations in a large database over many years, that GeForce Experience uses to try and find a match with when you start a new game. The idea is to set everything completely automatically for optimal image quality and performance. Those who are still interested in configuring the system manually can of course still do so.

PS3_slimWill GeForce Experience offer the same Plug-and-Play experience as video games?

We believe this is not going to be used by enthusiasts and many of our readers, but even to the most hardcore and initiated nerds GeForce Experience could come to good use in notebooks, where there is a razor thin line between playable and severe stuttering. GeForce Experience will be released on June 6th as beta, and we will of course be looking closer at NVIDIA’s new service.
