Google has with its GMail service raised the bar for online storage services, as you can store several gigabyte of data through your mail. We’ve now received information that states that Google is aiming even higher with a new online based storage service. The name of the service will be GDrive and the space for users will be unlimited! The information about GDrive comes from a Google presentation where it displays Google’s future plans where it wants to offer unlimited storage. It also mentions that files stored would be accessible from all units and from any destination. The presentation has now been removed by Google, but the plans have already been well documented.
Whether this will result in a fully featured serviced is another thing and at the same time you might wonder why Google wants to store all your information, something it would be able to do some really fun things with.
