It’s been a while since Apple updated its MacBook series and even if the company hasn’t revealed that much about its coming models, AppleInsider has stumbled upon some very interesting information about the laptops and their new specifications. As previous rumors have pointed to, Apple will launch a laptop using a display with LED backlighting, although it doesn’t seem to be a regular MacBook but a new ultraportable MacBook where the highlight is the 13″ LED backlit display.
Apple doesn’t seem to have any greater plans for its series of MacBooks, but the hihg-end series MacBook Pro is expected to be based on a new platform, which can only mean Intel Santa Rosa. This would bring some completely new hardware to Apple’s laptops, for example faster processors, processor buses and such.
