The first processors made with 32 nanometer technology will appear early next year. We will then get to see six different Intel Core i5 and Core i3 processors with Intel’s fresh 32nm Westmere architecture. Intel has considerably greater plans than that and according to new sources it is preparing a launch of 13 new Xeon processors with 32 nanometer technology on 16 mars 2010.
The processors that have appeared are said to be from a leaked roadmap detailing Intel’s new Xeon 5600 series for dual sockets and where five of the models sport six processor cores, with HyperThreading adding support for up to 12 threads.
The new 32 nanometer technology will be accompanied by three new Xeon models using the older 45nm Nehalem architecture. While Intel is also preparing several motherboard platforms for its new 32 nanometer models.
In retail stores will be seeing the Intel Core i7 980X with the same base architecture as the hexa-core Xeon processors, also in March.
