It seems that X48 motherboards are finally coming. After months of delay, without a really good explanation for it, ASUS and Gigabyte has started shipping X48 motherboards. DigiTimes reports that even though these initial shipments are fairly small, large shipments are expected to follow soon. Along with the X48 chipset, motherboard makers are also preparing the launch of the Intel P45 chipset. MSI for example, officially unveiled its P45 lineup at CeBIT. We expect more to follow.
