Windows 7 is looking very promising for Microsoft and one of the most important markets for the software giant is the fast growing netbook market. Netbooks are selling like crazy with their low prices but with their limited hardware resources Microsoft’s latest operating system Windows Vista was never an option. Microsoft has put a lot of work into reducing the system requirements of Windows 7 to be able to sell the new operating system on this market as well.
Even though these computers are equipped with relatively slow processors and little RAM Windows 7 runs really well on a netbook. Windows 7 RC is available for download, free of charge, for a year at least, and the only problem is how you install the operating system on a netbook that often lack an optical drive.
