Nehalem has reached a stage where the focus is on ironing out the last bug fixes and optimizing models for the different segments. There have been a couple of shallow architectural briefings, but now that David Kander over at realworldtech.com has published his analysis of the Nehalem architecture we feel obliged to inform you about it. It’s still based on the information that Intel has released but mends it all together into one working and understandable text. Like all of his other articles, the targeted reader has a high knowledge of IC design so the article might be hard to grasp for the uninitiated.
We still recommend giving it a shot if you want to know more about Nehalem, how it differs from the Core architecture and what we should be able to expect from it.
