Semiconductor maker Intel have been stream rolling the market with its Core architecture moved Intel back in the lead and since then AMD has had to battle in the budget and mid-range segments. The Nehalem architecture was developed and is now available randing from early mid-range to extreme enthusiast processors. This has made a clear imprint in the books.

Even though Intel decided to make amends to AMD in Q4 2009, Intel has presented another impressive quarterly report.

During Q4 2009 Intel scrapped together revenue of 10.6 billion and 2.3 billion of this was pure income. This is despite the fact the company paid AMD 1.25 billion for its not-so-honest actions in the past. It almost feels like Intel got off a bit too easy.

Intel boasts that the net income has increased 875 percent year-to-year. Even if it’s an impressive increase we should mention that Q4 2008 was a very gloomy quarter for the entire PC industry.

Intel is in a comfortable seat, but there are still legal battles going as the Federal Trade Commission is accusing the processor maker for threats and extortion in negotiations with PC builders.
