Besides the new cache solution Intel SSD 320 will also be upgraded. The new SSD 330 series has now been listed and besides aSandForce controller, prices looks low.

In the SSD 320 series we find Intel’s cheapest models, and while they don’t have the best performance to boot, they have used the same controller as Larson Creek and Hawley Creek. The series is know for being reliable, which has attracted many buyers that prefer reliability over extreme performance. The company’s new SSD 330 series has now been listed by local pricec comparison sites.

The new Intel SSD 330 series will most likely sport SandForce SF-2281. That performance of these drives are slightly lower than other SF-2281 drivers, for example the Intel 520 series, is because Intel has set limitations in the firmware. These are not yet officially launch, which means prices may be a bit off, but they seem plausible and will be putting pressure on other SF-2281 solutions.
