Intel started its Solid State Drive venture by announcing its first units last quarter. With impressive performance and new technology to boot they managed to outperform most other SSDs on the market, but most of them have now managed to catch up to Intel and even surpass in some cases. Both considering performance and storage capacity. Intel has now announced that it has great plans for its assortment of SSDs and the key for this will be the much smaller 32nm transistor.
Products sporting components made with the new manufacturing process will enter the market in the fourth quarter when Intel is expected to launch no less than eight new SSD models. The biggest with a storage capacity of 320GB.
There are no additional details available, but we would not be surprised if Intel managed to tweak the specifications further, even a lot.
