Intel has sent out a product change notification (PCN) which reveals that it will retire a number of its current Merom-based processors during Q3 next year. The affected models are T5500, T5600, T7200 and LV L7200, which will stop shipping on July 27, 2009. on July 26, 2009, Intel will ship the last T7400 and LV L7400 processors. Even if it’s still a long way to go, the boxed versions of these processors will disappear a lot sooner. Orders can be sent in until May 26, 2008, and the last shipments will go out August 26, 2008.
