Convertable computers are starting to break ground and more are expected to come forward with the launch of Windows 8. MSI has released a preview of a computer with a slider function, much like the one Intel showed with its reference platform Letexo.

Computers with touch screens will come in all shapes and sizes, and Intel already knows of 30 that will be part of the ultrabook program. MSI has been laying low and focus almost exclusively on gaming notebooks, although there are exceptions. The latest picture published on the MSI website points to it entering the ultrabook segment.

The computer builds on the same concept as Intel Letexo and ASUS Eee Pad Slider and will be powered by the coming operating system Windows 8. The processor will be supplied by Intel and the keyboard is “chiclet”. That is all the details we have at the time of writing, but we should know more soon since it will be shown at Computex, starting June 5th.
