Memory maker Mushkin has announced a new series of Solid State Drives and much like the latest drives of the competition these use the SandForce SF-1200 controller. Mushkin Callisto is available in three sizes 60GB, 120GB and 240GB. The specifications of Callisto are at best 285 MB/s read speed and 275 MB/s write speed.
Prices are, usual for SandForce SSDs, relatively high where the 60GB entry level model costs around $210, while the 120GB models double that.
Mushkin earlier launched SSDs with the popular Indilinx Barefoot controller and the choice of SandForce should tend for good performance.
