The overclocking of Intel’s new 32 nanometer processors continues and once again it’s Taiwanese overclocker nickshih that has taken to his Intel’s Core i5 670 processor. From having a screenshot at 7GHz nickshih he now has the system stable enough to run SuperPi 1M. The round took mere 6.062 seconds to complete, which is of course a new world record.
The processor was overclocked to 7.11GHz for a quick CPU-Z screenshot, which is just impressive. Except from a temperature around -194 degrees Celsius he needed more than 2V CPU voltage.
Test system:
Clarkdale I5 670 ES 3.47GHz
EVGA E659 A51 BIOS
GSKILL 2000 CL7 1GX2
ANTEC TPQ1200w OC
Seagate 500G
Kingpin Venom (good pot for -190)
