AMD has announced that it will be reducing its workforce by 10%, and a lower than expected revenue. AMD expects a revenue of $1.5 billion for the first quarter, which is a 15% decrease from the fourth quarter, a much larger drop than the regular Q4-Q1 7% drop. The layoffs will start later this month and go on until September. Earlier last month, several top European executives chose to leave AMD, and we can only hope that these cuts won’t lead to any more top people leaving AMD.
