Just as expected, several memory manufacturer are working on their first 2GB memory modules and even if Kingston have already launched 2GB modules for the server and portable market it’s only G.Skill which has presented 2GB modules for the retail market. Now The Inquirer reports that both OCZ and Corsair are working on 2x2GB memory kits of their own and is hoping to launch them before the retail version of Windows Vista arrives in January next year. The modules are specified at DDR2-667 speeds and whether they will also launch DDR2-800 modules remains to be seen, but as G.Skill already presented equivalent models we take this for granted.
