OCZ GameXStream 850W is the latest addition to OCZ’s popular GameXStream series of power supplies and the new SLI-certified model offers, as the name tells you, comes with a total output of up to 850W. The fact that OCZ launches its new and more powerful model right before NVIDIA’s launch of GeForce 8800 series is hardly a coincidence and compared to previous models it’s the power rating that has been improved. As its siblings, GameXStream 850W uses a 120mm fan for cooling and four 12V channels (18A), which should be enough to power even the most power hungry graphics cards. which nowadays is the most consuming component we have inside a computer.
We’re not sure when and where the power supply will appear, but it should be in time for the launch of the GeForce 8800 series.
