OCZ puts a lot of work into its memory modules and power supplies where the common nominator is of course the enthusiast angle. At TechPowerUp they’ve visited OCZ’s office in San Francisco and there they got to see two coming products, which truly sticks to OCZ concept. First of all we have OCZ’s coming ProXStream power supply which will offer a maximal output at 1000W (1KW) and uses the same base design as the current GameXStream and EvoStream power supplies. What separates ProXStream from the other PSUs in the 1KW range is that the formfactor is still standard-ATX. The power supply will be using four separate 12V rails at 20 Ampere each.
Except from the massive power supply, OCZ has another product coming which will see the light of day next month. Namely a memory cooler very much alike the one Corsair uses with the top models in its Dominator series. It’s simply a component which is put on top of the memory modules and with its two fans will cool the modules a lot more efficient than a completely passive solution. The memory cooler uses an installation that will work with all motherboards. Both ProXStream and OCZ’s memory cooler will appear next month.
