OCZ has now launched new models in its Secure Digital Dual flash memory cards series, which support both the SD and USB format. The flash memory cards can switch between the two at any time, which makes them compatible with not only a large collection of digital cameras but also practically all computers. OCZ’s new models has been tweaked for performance and thus the transfer rate has been improved. You will now be able to get OCZ SD Dual at x80 or x133 speed where the latter means a maximal transfer rate at about 20MB/s. The higher transfer rate doesn’t just mean that it will take less time to transfer pictures from your camera to your PC, but also speed up the process inside the camera as today’s camera can process high resolution pictures at several Mb a piece.
The new SD Dual models will be available as 1GB and 2GB, but there is no information regarding the price as of today. More information about OCZ Secure Digital Dual can be found at OCZ’s website.
